If you are not familiar
with Simple Delights, please allow me to take a few minutes to introduce you.
The first thing you should know is that Simple Delights is an online cookbook or
a personal website, created and maintained by me, Cathy Renaud. Unlike most of
the large recipe sites that you might find on the Internet, Simple Delights is
my personal website, with only a few recipes, all tested by me, and my family
and a few of our friends. I am forever looking and trying out new
recipes, and most times I like to call my version a `Cathy Tweak` when I add a
new ingredient or throw in a new flavor to an old recipe. So if you're
reading a ``tweak`` in a recipe, it`s just me tossing in something on the fly.
I am also trying to take the photos as I bake, so you can see
exactly how my recipes turn out. I apologize if they are a bit dark, but
it's the best I can do for now, till I learn how to be a better " Food
Stylist " LOL
Where I get the recipes
You'll find many family recipes,
and quite a few pulled from cookbooks, magazines, and clippings from friends.
If I have pulled a recipe from another source, I will try to accredit the
source where I can (some of my recipes are just a hand written note.) One
thing I will say...I love to use real butter...not low fat , or the reduced
salt kind. I like to use butter and real, cream, and organic eggs. I
also am a huge fan of Extra Virgin Olive Oil when cooking meats and sautéed
vegetables. It just seems to make things taste so yummy.
